My problem with this list is that a lot of these things are not really “skills” but rather seem to be a prelude to some new responsibility outside the job of engineering. Which is fine if you’re going to be compensated as such, but IMO the bump of 10-20% more salary for all this extra work and stress is not worth the hassle.
